OSHA LICENSED CRANE CERTIFIER / SURVEYOR

The recent high profile tower crane accidents during “Climbing” operations
are unfortunately just examples of a growing trend in tower crane failures.
General Contractors and Developers should not rely exclusively on their sub-
contractors to safely manage Tower Crane operations

In the past 5 years we have seen enormous growth in tower crane usage,
however the degree of knowledge, training and expertise in all areas of
working with them and on them has not matched this growth. Your liability
doesn’t end at the crane footing and the probability and consequences of
accidents is just too great for the general contractor not to take a more
pro-active roll in ensuring safe operations.

What I can offer you is an independent, outside inspection / surveyor service
covering all aspects of your tower crane operations, a regulatory oversight
of the actual field operations during; Erection / Dismantling and Climbing.
My goal is to eliminate the risks and protect life and property. The only real
question is how you can afford not to use me, given the downside potential.

When considering hiring a Third Party Consultant / Inspector, you should look for:

       1.  Appropriate recognized academic qualifications.
       2.  Relevant level of practical experience.
       3.  Model specific technical training directly from the Manufacturer.

CAL-OSHA advises that a Division- Licensed Crane Certifier / Surveyor
should be present during "Climbing and Erection / Dismantling" operations
to assure that such processes and operations are performed in accordance
with the manufacturer's recommendations and any applicable Safety Orders.
